Running for mayor of Denver was an enormous challenge. From the very beginning, we knew that while winning would be difficult, it was not impossible. Our main objective was to raise awareness among residents about who I am and what I stand for. If we could achieve this, we had a real chance to win and make Denver a better place to live—a city ideal for raising a family. As a businessman, neighborhood activist, and former prizefighter, I promised the people of Denver that I would never give up. Quitting has never been an option for me. Although I lost my bid for mayor of Denver in 2023, this is not the end of our struggle to repair a broken city; instead, it marks a new beginning. The journey continues as we aim for victory in 2027. -Aurelio Martinez
We welcome Deion Sanders to Colorado as coach of the Colorado Buffalos! Sanders was so bad (as in good) as a professional football player, he needed two nick names. “Neon” and “Prime Time”
